About Title I
The purpose of Title I is to ensure all children have access to a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, with the goal of closing academic achievement gaps. The program supports schools by providing professional development for staff and engaging parents and families in school-based activities. This partnership helps students meet high academic standards and achieve their full potential.

The Title I Program works to improve student achievement through a comprehensive approach. It focuses on several key areas to ensure students receive a high-quality education.
- Instruction and Staffing: The program provides highly qualified teachers and offers ongoing staff development to improve teaching skills. It also adds new technology, equipment, and instructional materials to support learning. Instruction may be delivered one-on-one or in small groups, using research-based intervention strategies.
- Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Title I uses specific assessments to identify students' needs and then continuously monitors their progress to adjust instruction as needed.
- Family and Community Engagement: The program actively supports parents and families by encouraging their involvement in their child's education and the school community.

Title I is a federal education program designed to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education. It provides extra funding to schools with higher percentages of students from low-income families. These funds are used to purchase additional learning materials, fund specialized teachers and tutoring programs, support professional learning for staff, and host family engagement events.

Title II funds are used to invest in the people who teach and lead our students. This program provides funding to recruit, hire, and retain high-quality teachers, principals, and school leaders. It also supports ongoing professional development and training to improve student learning across the district.

Title III is dedicated to helping children who are learning English as an additional language. These funds provide high-quality language instruction programs to help students attain English proficiency, as well as resources and community outreach for English Learner (EL) families.

Title IV focuses on providing a well-rounded education in a safe and supportive environment. This grant is used for STEM, music, and the arts; mental health and school safety initiatives; and the effective use of technology in the classroom.
