Overview

The PCPS School Board has five advisory committees that play an important role in supporting our students and schools. These committees and their roles are listed below. We are currently seeking community members to serve on these committees.

Serving on an Advisory Committee is a great way to make a difference in the lives of PCPS students. By sharing your insights and expertise, you can help to ensure that our students receive the best possible education.

ADVISORY COMMITTEES

Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee: If you are passionate about preparing our students for real-world careers and want to influence our CTE programs, then this committee is for you. You’ll work with community volunteers to provide curriculum support and CTE-related opportunities for CTE students and staff.

Gifted Advisory Committee: Help us nurture the potential of gifted students and enhance their educational experiences by providing guidance and input to the School Board related to the educational needs of students formally identified as gifted.

Parent Advisory Committee: Your perspective as a parent is invaluable. You focus on school processes to increase parental engagement and solicit parent input from all Title I schools.

School Health Advisory Committee: Advocate for the well-being of our students by contributing to policies and initiatives that promote a healthy school environment.

Special Education Advisory Committee: If you have a background in special education or a strong interest in supporting students with unique needs, this committee provides a platform to make a meaningful impact.
