Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan Visits PHS for Take Your Legislator to School Month
On Monday, November 10, we had the honor of welcoming Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan to Petersburg High School for Virginia School Boards Association Take Your Legislator to School Month! This initiative was created by the Virginia School Boards Association to build stronger relationships between public education and the Virginia General Assembly. VSBA Take Your Legislator to School Month gives legislators an opportunity to observe what is going on in Virginia schools, and provides Virginia’s students the chance to meet and interact with an elected official.
Congresswoman Mclellan's tour of our CTE Center showcased the incredible programs we offer, including Culinary Arts, JROTC, Cosmetology & Barbering, Nursing, Auto Mechanics, and Childcare. Thank you to the PCPS School Board and our dedicated leadership team for their support!
