The Petersburg School Board approved the 2020-21 calendaron on Mar 4th. The calendar is designed to position students to succeed academically, meet state requirements and contain adequate instructional time to accommodate potential bad weather. Click here for the 2020-21 calendar.
Here are calendar highlights:
There are 180 instructional days for students: Classes start Sept. 8 and end June 18.
There are four three-hour early-release days for students. The Sept. 28 early-release day provides teachers time for professional development. The Feb 15 and June 17-18 early-release days provide teachers time for grade preparation and end-of-the-year work.
Parent-teacher conferences will be Nov. 3rd, which is a student holiday. Parents will be able to sign up for specific conference times starting at 1 p.m., with the last conferences ending at 7 p.m.
Thanksgiving break is Nov. 25-27. Winter break is Dec. 21-Dec. 31. Spring break is April 2-9.
