Each Petersburg school has a clinic staffed by a licensed nurse to provide health and wellness services. School nurses provide direct care to students with illness and injuries, administer medication, monitor immunizations, perform hearing and vision screenings and promote health necessary for academic success.
Students are not to transport prescription or non-prescription medication to or from school or have medication in their possession at any time. If a student needs medication during the school day, the parent/guardian must deliver it to the school nurse, principal or designee.
All medical information (including current contact information) must be submitted and updated at the beginning of each school year. Forms are available on this page or you may contact your school nurse for information and forms pertaining to your child's current medical needs. Last year's medical action and treatment plans cannot be used for the current school year.
