  • Mission Statement:

The mission of the Vernon Johns Middle School counseling department is to provide a comprehensive developmental and preventive school counseling program that will address the academic, career, social and emotional needs of every student enabling academic achievement, career awareness, personal and social development.

The Vernon Johns Middle School Counseling Program will work collaboratively to empower students to become educated, successful and responsible citizens.

School counselors work with students individually, in small groups, and in the classroom on personal and social issues, academics, and college and career planning.

Referrals for students to meet with their school counselor can be made by  teachers, administrators, parents, or through student self-referrals.  Parents are welcome to call or e-mail the counselors at any time to request individual counseling for their child.

Feel free to contact us to let us know how we can support you and your student.
